rhamphotheca:

Cecropia Moth (Hyalophora cecropia)

This large silk moth is the largest moth (by wingspread and body size) of any moth in North America. As with most of the silk moths (family Saturniidae), this moth does not have any mouth parts, as it does not feed as an adult. It lives only a week or 2 after metamorphosing into its adult stage.
